Student Accounts Information Sheet

Fall 2016

The due date for your bill is Monday, August 1, 2016. The bill included in this package reflects the tuition charges for which you are registered. This sheet will help you decide what your payment to Newbury College should be. Please note that if your payment is not received by August 1, 2016, you will receive an interest charge of 1.5 % per month on any unpaid balance, including pending financial aid beginning on August 31, 2016.

1) If you have financial aid, the aid reflected on your bill is aid you have been awarded. If your aid has been flagged as verified, your financial aid application is complete. If your aid is flagged as pending, please contact Student Financial Services. If your aid is not verified before Fall check-in, please be advised that you will have to pay your outstanding balance. Once your actual aid has been received, we will refund any over payments, in accordance with Federal, State, and College policies.

2) A ten-month tuition payment plan with no interest is also available as a payment option. Tuition Management Services, TMS, provides this program with the first payment beginning on July1, 2016. For more information regarding TMS, you may visit the TMS website at PLEASE NOTE: THIS PLAN IS NOT OFFERED TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS.

3) Incoming Housing Students: All new students are charged a double room for billing purposes until housing assignment is released. Housing assignments will be released after August 1, 2016, as long as your Fall 2016 is settled.

4) Returning Housing Students: You are currently being billed for the room assignment from the 2016 May housing selection process. If you have a room change, your account will be adjusted accordingly.

5) Commuter Students: You may sign up for a Commuter Meal Plan. You may sign up for a Commuter Meal Plan. Please see attached form for more information. The deadline to join the Commuter Meal Plan is September 6, 2016.

6) To all incoming Students: The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires that all students carrying a credit load of 9 credits or more MUST have health insurance. All students are billed health insurance unless it is waived. Students may waive on-line beginning on June 15, 2016. In order for you not to get charged for health insurance, you MUST complete the on-line waiver by August 1, 2016. You may waive your student health insurance by visiting the Gallagher Student Health Insurance website at

7) To all Students: Log onto your Newbury College NetHawk account for up to date changes made to your bill by clicking on “My Student Info” and then, “Billing Statement”. You may also view your financial aid status by clicking on the “Financial Aid Check List”.

8) Please send your payment by Monday, August 1, 2016 to the following address. Please include your Student Identification Number, which is located on your bill. You may also pay online by logging into your NetHawk account, clicking on “My Student Info” and then clicking on payments.
