Help Us Help You

The shuttle buses are driven by uniformed Campus Safety Officers who have been trained to operate the buses with the safety guidelines established by the College. Each driver has radio communication with the Campus Safety Department and is able to report any problems.

The following policies have been established for the safety and comfort of all who use the shuttle service:

  1. For your safety the bus will only stop at designated areas. These areas are: the Student Center traffic circle and the Reservoir traffic circle. Due to traffic congestion and safety concerns the shuttle is unable to stop on Fisher Avenue.
  2. The bus will not proceed until all passengers are seated. All Shuttle Service vehicles are SMOKE FREE.
  3. No food is permitted on the Shuttle.
  4. The Shuttle Service is meant for use by Newbury College students, faculty and staff. If requested, a valid Newbury College ID must be shown to the driver. Newbury students, faculty and staff will have priority to ride the shuttle during times the shuttle is full.
  5. For their safety, no small children or infants will be allowed on the bus.
  6. The use of profanity and violent or provocative speech is prohibited. If asked, by the driver, to vacate the bus, the rider must comply.

The officers driving the buses have full authority in settling any disputes or problems that may occur while using the Shuttle Service. This includes the right to refuse travel to any person who refuses to comply with the Passenger Policies or is deemed a risk to the safety of the driver or other passengers.
