The Newbury College Campus Safety Department strives to
provide a safe, secure, comfortable campus. Uniformed Campus
Safety personnel routinely patrol the campus, and are on
duty 24 hours a day to respond to emergencies. Campus Safety
is located on the first floor of the Student Center and
can be contacted at (617) 730-7160.
Campus Safety personnel receive ongoing training in CPR,
First Aid, non-violent crisis intervention, emergency procedures
and other safety/security related areas.
As committed as we are to providing for the safety and
security of the campus, we can succeed only with the help
of all students, faculty and staff. Security is everyone's
business. Campus Safety urges the community to report any
suspicious or unusual occurrences.
The Campus Safety Department also coordinates the College
shuttle service while school is in session in fall and spring.
The shuttle service operates at scheduled hours on designated
routes. Uniformed Campus Safety personnel drive the shuttle
vehicles, which are equipped with two-way radios for direct
communication to the campus.
Newbury College complies with the Federal Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, which requires the
dissemination of information with respect to campus crime statistics and campus security policies.
