Using Newbury College Library Databases
from outside the Library
To use the College databases outside the Library, you need
a valid Minuteman Library Network library card. You can get
the free card by registering at the Library Circulation Desk.
You will need a Newbury College ID card or a driver's license
to register.
How to
You can access Newbury College Library's databases from
the Central
Search or the
Full Text Electronic Journal Holdings page. If you are
outside the library, you will be asked to type in your library
card number. The 14-digit number is on the back of the Minuteman
library card, such as this example:
Type your number in without any spaces and press the Enter
key (this key is sometimes named Return). For example,
the owner of the library card pictured would type in 12345678901234
and press Enter.
You can also use the Library Databases page at http://www.newbury.edu/library/database.htm.
Select the database you wish to use and click on the outside
the library link. Enter your library card number without
any spaces as above.
Westlaw access is limited to Newbury legal students and faculty
only, and registration
is required. You may also register on ARTstor and netLibrary
to use them outside the Library
