The reference collection contains guides, indexes, directories, atlases, dictionaries and
encyclopedias. It is located on the first floor of the Library. Books in the reference collection are good sources for
quick and factual information, and can give you a general introduction to your topic. These books
cannot be taken from the Library, but can be photocopied.
Circulating books are located on the ground floor (Library
of Congress call numbers A-P) and on the second floor (Library
of Congress call numbers Q-Z and paperback collection). These
titles can be borrowed from the Library with a Minuteman library
card.
Periodical Collection
Journals and magazines are available in print or electronic
formats. Paper periodicals are shelved on the second floor,
arranged by call number. The most recent issues are kept in
the Current Periodicals area on the first floor. To locate
articles on a specific subject, use the electronic
databases available online.
Audio-Visual Collection
DVD and VHS videos are available at the Circulation Desk.
Feature film videos that were not acquired in the past twelve
months as well as non-fiction audio-visual materials may be
requested from other Minuteman Library Network libraries.
DVD and VHS videos on reserve can be borrowed for two hours
for in library use only. One television is available for viewing
within the Library. To use the TV, borrow headphones at the
Circulation Desk.
