Director of Career Services and Internship Placement
Master's degree in Student or Career Development, Higher
Education Administration, Counseling or related field. Three
to five years experience in a college or university career
center or as an internship coordinator. Experience as college
recruiter for a business or cooperation would also be beneficial.
The position requires strong interpersonal, networking,
organizational, data base management and presentation skills.
General Statement of Responsibilities:
The Director of Career Services will assume all department
head responsibilities associated with the Career Center.
The Director will oversee a comprehensive program of career
related services including; internship placement, career
counseling, employment searches, resume and interview preparation
and placement assistance to meet the needs of a diverse
student body. They will be responsible for working with
Program Directors in implementing the College's internship
program and the orchestration of annual Career Fair(s).
The Director will work with College faculty to identify
employment opportunities for qualified graduates and alumni
in their fields of study. The Director will work with faculty
and staff to foster the use of the Center by students and
make presentations as warranted to classes, organizations
and associations. The Director will also compile data on
employment and internship placement rates and other assessment
criteria.
Specific Duties:
- Oversee budget responsibility for the Career Center.
- Assist individual students and alumni with career exploration,
company research and job application/search techniques.
- Develop internship sites for all college programs.
- Conduct seminars on career development topics.
- Assist students with resume writing and interview preparation.
- Conduct an annual Career Fair(s) at which students may
meet and discuss employment opportunities with employers.
- Maintain a data base of employment opportunities.
- Develop employer relationships with companies that support
the College's fields of study.
- Maintain records on graduate placement and conduct on-going
follow-up surveys to maintain such data.
- Conduct a related exit interview with graduating students.
- Disseminate career-related information to the Newbury
community.
- Work with First Year Seminar instructors, faculty and
program directors to integrate career development into
the college curriculum.
- Assist the College with matters related to student retention
and support the mission of other Student Affairs departments.
- Serve on committees and complete other tasks as assigned.

Head Men and Women's Tennis Coach
As a part-time coach you will assume coaching responsibilities
in a competitive Division III NCAA athletic program. Positions
available: Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach.
Responsibilities include the recruitment and retention of
student athletes, practice and game day coaching, fundraising
and monitoring the academic standing and progress of our
student athletes and overall coordination of the programs.
Required: Bachelor's degree; knowledge of NCAA rules/regulations
with two years of relative coaching experience in a college
setting.
