In accordance with Massachusetts State Law, any student enrolled at Newbury College with nine or more credits is required to carry health insurance. This can be obtained through Newbury College if you are not currently insured. The insurance provided by Newbury College is administered by Chickering Claim Administrators, and can be purchased for $930.00. This provides student coverage from September through August of that school year. The law does not change if a student enrolls in nine or more credits for the trimester that begins in January. The cost, however, is prorated to $630.00 and covers the student from January through August of that year. Students may waive the health insurance plan offered by Newbury College provided they already have coverage. A form must be obtained through any of the Continuing Education campus offices. It must be filled out and returned complete with the name of the student’s health insurance provider and policy number to the Brookline or Weymouth campus office.
