Men’s Tennis Looks Ahead to 2008 Season

The Nighthawks Men’s Tennis team got off to a late start last season. The Nighthawks returned two seniors, one sophomore and added six rookies to the roster.

Dedication and tenacity were really the most impressive aspects of last season. Each player, especially first year rookies Nicholas Sehovich (Pelham, NH/Pelham), Ryan Hennessy (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park), Devin Walker (Mont Vernon, NH/High Mowing), Ryan Sevieri (Brookline, MA/Brookline), and Andre Howell (Avon, MA/Avon), seemed to get better after every game and practice. Our veterans, Jeff Gibson (Northfield, MA/Pioneer Valley) and Tyrell Adamson (Waterbury, CT/Kennedy), will be missed next season. Their leadership was a big part of the growth in the roster and the commitment the younger players had. The addition of Sevieri and Matthew Sadowski (Feeding Hills, MA/Agawan) later in the season also offered significant help as they both recorded a couple of points for the Nighthawks.

Although the team did not win any matches, the talent and dedication of these players was very impressive. This team looks forward to the recruits coming in to help them grow as a team and a program for the 2008 season.
