Dear fellow Newbury College alumnus,

At the May 20, 2006 alumni meeting it was voted to formally establish a Newbury College Alumni Association. By-laws were drafted over the summer, reviewed by the committee, and approved at the September 20, 2006 meeting. At that meeting the following alumni were elected to office:

Irene (Gagnon) Brannelly, Class of 1966 & 1987, President
Robert Flynn, Class of 1993, Secretary
Sharon Roberts, Class of 1988 & 1997, Committee Member, and faculty member in the School of Business & Management at Newbury College
Judith Flynn, Class of 2005, Committee Member

As a Newbury College alumnus, I invite you to reconnect with Newbury College by getting involved with alumni through the Alumni Association--we need your fellowship and your ideas! Your participation will be valued and help us to grow the Alumni Association.

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the Mitton House Library on the main campus in Brookline. I hope you will be able to join us. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact us at alumni@newbury.edu or leave a phone message at 617-730-7009 and we will get back to you.

As a committee, we hope to plan events of interest to all alumni. Past events have included wine pairing dinners, Red Sox baseball games, barbeques, the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall, and community service projects.

Let us know what you've been doing since you graduated. Update your contact information at www.newbury.edu/alumni/update_information.shtml so that we can contact you with specific event information in the future. Our main goal is to reconnect with alumni and to bring alumni back to campus. Please join us for meetings and events and encourage other alumni to attend as well. I look forward to seeing you.
