Requirements to Retain Aid
Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy
Federal regulations require that Newbury College establish and apply
reasonable standards of satisfactory progress for the purpose of determining
continued student eligibility for financial aid. Students who wish to be
considered for financial aid must maintain satisfactory progress in their
selected course of study as set forth in this policy.
The Office of Financial Assistance evaluates student academic
progress at the end of each academic term. Students are evaluated on the basis
of grade point average (GPA), credit hour completion (incremental progress), and
maximum time limitation (degree completion).
