Visiting campus is a critical part of your college search
process. Newbury offers several ways to spend time on campus.
To take advantage of these opportunities, please call the
Office of Admission at (617) 730-7007.
Interviews, Tours, Class Visits and Open Houses
Personal Interviews: Newbury does not require, but
highly recommends that students make a personal appointment
with a counselor. The Office of Admission is open 9:00 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and on specified Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Tours of Campus: During the fall and spring semesters,
campus tours are offered Monday through Friday at 10:00
a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., and on select Saturdays at
10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. During the summer months, tours
are offered Monday through Thursday at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00
p.m. and on select Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Please see Admission Events for
the current schedule.
Classroom Visits: We encourage prospective students
to attend a class that interests them. This allows students
to get a true feeling for what happens in our classrooms.
Open Houses
The College holds three open houses each year, one in the
summer and two in the fall. These programs allow families
the chance to meet students, faculty and staff and get a
taste of life at Newbury College. Please see Admission
Events for upcoming dates.
Grand Buffets
At the end of each Culinary Arts academic module, our seven
production kitchens come together to present an elaborate
feast including hors d'oeuvres, ice carvings, breads and
rolls, classical cuisine and special desserts and pastries.
Students interested in our Roger A. Saunders School of Hotel
& Restaurant Management are invited to campus to learn
more about our Hospitality programs and participate in one of the four
Grand Buffets held each semester. Please see Admission
Events for specific dates.
Registration begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by a campus
tour, meetings with our Hospitality and Culinary faculty
and finally the Grand Buffet.
Nighthawk for a Day
Each semester, The Office of Admission invites students
to its Nighthawk for a Day program. The event allows prospective
students to experience “a day in the life” of a Newbury
student. Attending a class, lunch in the dining hall and
a tour of the campus are included in the day. This highly
personalized program also allows parents to spend time with
the College’s senior administration and have their questions
answered. Lunch for parents is held in Newbury’s Weltman
Dining Room and is prepared by the Culinary students and
faculty.
