Sara dAnjou
Associate Dean for Academic Services

Sara dAnjou holds a bachelors degree from Brandeis
University and masters degrees from Boston University
and Framingham State College. She oversees the Centers
tutoring and academic counseling functions, supervises developmental
math and English courses, and coordinates services for students
with physical and/or learning disabilities. The Associate
Dean is also responsible for general academic advising issues,
including adherence to program requirements, course substitutions,
course transfers from other colleges, and reinstatement
contracts. Sara has been at Newbury since 1991.
Thomas Chew

Thomas holds a bachelor's degree from St. Bonaventure University
and a master's degree from Suffolk University. He provides
academic counseling for students in the Academic Enrichment
Program, serves as an academic advisor for first-year students,
and coordinates the First Year Seminar program. Tom also
teaches a First Year Seminar class. He has been at Newbury
since September 2005.
Roslyn Abukasis

Roz holds a bachelor's degree from Simmons College and
a master's degree from Cambridge College. She counsels students
in the Academic Enrichment Program, provides academic advising
for first-year students, and also teaches a First Year Seminar
class. Roz joined the staff at Newbury in September 2006.

Ellen has a bachelors degree from Goucher College
and a masters from Simmons College. She offers help
with writing, algebra, social science courses, and study
skills for all courses. Ellen has been at Newbury since
1994.
