Academics - Internship Timeline

For Summer Internships:

  • Early March (or earlier)- student visits the Director of Internships and Alternative Studies for petition and to obtain approval.
  • Pre-registration – student meets with Internship advisor to go over internship handbook contents, potential sites and application.
  • Mid-May - student finalizes arrangements with site and submits completed application by the assigned due date to the Director of Internships and Alternative Studies.

For Fall Internships:

  • Early March – student visits the Director of Internships and Alternative Studies for petition and to obtain approval.
  • Pre-registration – student meets with Internship advisor to go over internship handbook contents, potential sites and application.
  • Fall drop/add – student finalizes arrangements with site and submits completed application by the assigned due date to the Director of Internships and Alternative Studies.

For Spring Internships:

  • Late October – student visits the Director of Internships and Alternative Studies for petition and to obtain approval.
  • Pre-registration – student meets with Internship advisor to go over internship handbook contents, potential sites and application.
