Brookline, MA, July 1, 2010 – Clare McCully, an Executive Director at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, has been selected as the Vice President for Development at Newbury College. McCully will serve as the chief development officer responsible for all fundraising activities including the annual fund, foundation relations, capital gifts and grants, and establishing and maintaining relationships with the College’s alumni and parents. She will assume her new role at Newbury on July 6, 2010.
McCully has been with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship since May 2007. Under her leadership, the Network witnessed a robust program expansion of over 40%. She was responsible for the supervision of 49 program sites in MA, RI, CT and NH. She previously served as Senior Manager at Graham-Pelton Consulting and spent seven years as the Executive Director at Newton Schools Foundation.
“Clare has done extensive fundraising work and is experienced with all areas of fundraising. She is passionate about the values of access and opportunities that education creates for an individual,” said Newbury’s President Hannah M. McCarthy. “We are enthusiastic that Clare has agreed to lead Newbury’s fundraising efforts. McCully earned her A.B. with honors from Wellesley College in Medieval and Renaissance Studies and a certificate in Professional Fundraising from Boston University and a certificate in Leadership and Influence from Babson College.
